  • Case Data Review and Analysis You will review abstracted (non-confidential) patient case data, analyze the data, present findings of your analysis, and summarize data for publication.
  • Program Liaison: Global Health Initiative You will track information about the US Global Health Initiative and work to assess alignment with Network Ethiopia programs.
  • Comparative Research: Best Practices for Community Health You will review Network Ethiopia’s programs and research comparable programs to identify best practices, areas for Network Ethiopia improvement, and opportunities for partnership.
  • Public Health/International Development You will read everything you can get your hands on about public health and international development, from Paul Farmer, to Jacqueline Novogratz, to Muhammad Yunus, Greg Mortenson, and Stephen Lewis. You’ll attend public events and seminars … and report back to Network Ethiopia with ideas for how we can improve and collaborate.
  • Public Health/Amharic A proficient speaker of Amharic, you will help with communications and research on news and events in Ethiopia. You will also help to build and maintain liaison with the Ethiopian community in the United States.
  • Public Health/Nutrition Nutrition is cited by multiple sources, including Network Ethiopia’s Medical Director and the Organization for Social Services for AIDS, as the single most important cofactor for our target population’s medical success. You will review primary sources, including material from Network Ethiopia partners in Ethiopia, to develop program information and, potentially, advocacy material and solutions.
  • Public Health/Medicine You will partner with medical doctors on Network Ethiopia’s board and track and provide advice on key issues that may impact program success. Areas of interest may include infectious diseases, maternal and pediatric nutrition, PMTCT, and pediatric ART.
  • Public Health/Telemedicine You will work with Network Ethiopia board members with backgrounds in medicine and telecommunications, as well as area university and government programs, to evaluate benefits and opportunities for telemedicine in Network Ethiopia programs.
  • Assistant Treasurer Routine account reconciliation and tax filing.
